
Dr. Robert Abraham, MD, FSIR, FCIRSE, FRCPC
Bob Abraham is a practicing clinician and Interventional Radiologist at the QEII Health Sciences Center at Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS. Dr. Abraham’s skills and experience cover all aspects of Interventional Radiology (IR), including minimally invasive cancer therapy, angioplasty/intravascular stenting for peripheral vascular disease, endovascular aortic repair, arterial embolization, and venous interventions. He has held leadership positions in IR and Radiology, having served as President of the Canadian Association for Interventional Radiology (CAIR) and as Chief Examiner for Diagnostic Radiology at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. His research commitment and activity have resulted in over $4 million in research & development funding, and he has embarked on a journey to translate biomaterial innovations into commercial products that will positively impact patient care. His passion for education and research has been rewarded with teaching and research awards, and he has been awarded a Fellowship to the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) and the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE).
