Description
No designated IR elective. The program by design encompasses a variety of fields in radiology. The students can identify interest in IR but the exposure to IR is limited by preceptor availability. Currently it is run in a hybrid approach whereby students have 2 hours of in-person work per day while the rounds and lectures are virtual.

Usually very flexible over the 2 weeks. MUMC is a peds center, option for peds IR. Other centers have adult IR, can usually ask for more IR days on the elective before scheduling is done and the admin are super helpful. (Standard is 1-2 IR day over 2 weeks.) Optional resident call shadowing for DR.

Description
No designated IR elective. The two-week elective is designed for 4th year students. During this period, students will spend time at either the Ottawa Hospital General or Civic campuses. There is exposure to all modalities including Ultrasound, C.T., M.R.I., Nuclear Medicine and Interventional Radiology.

Description
L’étudiant en médecine qui fait un stage à option en radiologie d’intervention à l’Université de Montréal possède une exposition complète et variée en radiologie vasculaire et non vasculaire interventionnelle adulte, incluant l’imagerie vasculaire non invasive (Doppler, angioCT, angioIRM) et la clinique externe. Il suit les patrons, fellows et résidents dans le département. Il peut aussi être amené à faire quelques interventions simples au fur et à mesure qu’il progresse (PICCs, changements de cathéters, etc.). Le département est très actif puisqu’il y a 7 salles d’angiographie et 4 salles de Doppler qui fonctionnent environ de 8h à 17h, en plus des cas qui débordent sur la garde. Six-sept patrons et 4-5 fellows travaillent dans notre secteur.
