Zoe Abraham
MS4 Dalhousie University
Zoe is a fourth-year medical student at Dalhousie University. Prior to starting medical school, she completed her BSc at Queen’s University in Life Sciences. She is excited to join the CAIR community and learn more about emerging technology, research, and innovative procedures in the field of Interventional Radiology. She is also looking forward to connecting with like-minded individuals who share a passion for IR and Radiology. Aside from medicine, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and being outdoors in the sun as much as possible!
Mehrshad Bakhshi
MS3 McGill University
Mehrshad is a third-year medical student at McGill University with a passion for global health, outreach and mentorship. During his free time, he enjoys teaching Taekwondo, playing Persian music, and exploring Montreal’s artistic scene. Mehrshad is thrilled to be working with the fantastic team on the CAIR RFS section and is committed to helping medical students increase their exposure to the field of interventional radiology.
Dany Croteau
CC4 – McGill University
Dany is a fourth year medical student at McGill University. He completed a BSc. in physiotherapy at the University of Montreal in 2006 and a degree in Osteopathy at the Collège d’études Ostéopathiques of Montreal in 2015. Apart from going on treating some of his patients, Dany very much enjoys practicing a variety of sports (biking, hiking and running) with his wife and his two dogs. Happy and honored to be a member of the CAIR RFS!
Mao Ding
MS3 University of Calgary
Mao is a third-year medical student at the University of Calgary. She completed a B.B.A in Business (marketing) in Hong Kong and a M.A. in Education at McGill. Her favorite spare-time activities include staying active with her 4-year-old daughter, boxing, and hiking! She’s excited to meet and work with everyone on the CAIR RFS team.
Nika Elmi

I am currently a third year medical student at McMaster University. Prior to joining the McMaster community, I completed a Master of Science in Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. While at Queen’s University for my undergraduate degree I studied life science and art history. To me, radiology is a space where art and science collide. I joined CAIR this year for the opportunity to learn more about interventional radiology and meet some pretty cool people in the process!
Aly Fawzy
MS3 University of Toronto
Aly is a 3rd year medical student at UofT. He completed his undergrad in Kinesiology and Health Science at York University. He is very interested in minimally invasive procedures, highly technical fields, and the use of technology and computers in medicine. All of which are nicely combined in the field of interventional radiology. He had great IR mentors throughout medical school that inspired him to pursue IR. Outside of school, Aly is a huge sports person, he enjoys playing and watching soccer, basketball and football. He loves the office and watches at least 1 episode daily, q24hrs, PRN. He is very excited to be part of CAIR this year and help plan amazing IR events!
Zacharie Gagné
MS2 NOSMU
Zach is a second year medical student at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. Before starting medical school, he completed his B.Sc in Psychology and his MA in Experimental Psychology at Laurentian University. Zach has always had an interest in medicine, but throughout the last year, he has become more interested in diagnostics and anatomy, which is what led him to the field of interventional radiology. During his spare time, he enjoys anything sports related, and has been officiating hockey since the age of 13. He is also an avid traveler, having visited 25 countries to date.
Rushali Gandhi
MS3 McGill University
Rushali is a third year medical student at McGill University, where she also completed her undergraduate degree in neuroscience. In her spare time, you can find her checking off every ice cream parlor in the city, envisioning a future Shark Tank pitch while binging each season, or immersing herself in new cultures through classes and travel. Rushali looks forward to collaborating with the diverse CAIR RFS committee to better expose medical students to the field of interventional radiology!
Samuel Haile
MS2 University of Toronto
Samuel is a second-year medical student at the University of Toronto. Prior to entering medical school, he completed his HBSc in Human Biology and Molecular Biology, Immunology & Disease at the University of Toronto. His desire to positively impact the lives of others drew him into medicine, his love solving tough puzzles, investigations, and technology brought his attention to Radiology, and his fascination with the vast array of things that can be done in a minimally invasive manner ultimately piqued his interest in Interventional Radiology and ultimately CAIR. Outside of medicine, Samuel’s interests include linguistics, playing intramural soccer and basketball, learning Muay Thai, and game nights with friends!
Rehab El-Hajj

Hi, I am Rehab! I am currently completing my final year of medical school at the University of Calgary. Prior to medicine, I completed an undergraduate degree in Computing Science and Bioinformatics at the University of Alberta. I am excited to work alongside like-minded individuals in CAIR with a shared passion for Radiology and IR. Over the years, I have been involved in a number of research projects in both developing technology in medicine and analyzing the effects of technology in medicine – and am excited to see what the future holds. Outside of medicine, I love a good gathering to keep active and enjoy a nice hike – I am also currently working on developing my cooking skills!
Zakhar Kanyuka

Zakhar is a fourth year medical student at the University of Saskatchewan. He completed a BSc at University of Regina in Biochemistry with a minor in Computer Science. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, running, hiking, skiing, and traveling. He loves the innovative and novel solutions that IR provides to medical problems and is thrilled to be exploring and promoting the field.
Konnor Kennedy
MS3 Northern Ontario School of Medicine
Konnor is a third year medical student from NOSM. He first worked as a Medical Radiation Technologist based in Vancouver, Edmonton, and ending in Muskoka, for 7 years before completing his BSc and MSc in Medical Phyisics/Radiation Biology at Laurentian University. Interventional Radiology and its versatility, frequent technological advancements and growth, have been an interest since day one of working in the field. He looks forward to contributing to the CAIR’s committees. In his spare time he golfs obsessively and enjoys all types of movies and TV shows, and enjoys watching all sports. You can catch him checking his fantasy football team starting September.
Natalie Kozlowski

Natalie is a third-year medical student at U of T. She completed both her Master of Global Health and undergraduate degree at McMaster University. Her love for anatomy, interacting with patients and performing procedures as well as inspiring mentors continue to nourish her interest in Interventional Radiology. In her spare time, she enjoys being active (hiking, biking, dancing), baking and loves all types of movies and TV shows. She is excited to be part of CAIR’s committee.
Katie McLay
MS4 University of Toronto
Katie is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Toronto. Before medical school, she completed her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences at McMaster University. Her love for human anatomy and physiology, patient-centered approaches to procedures, and clinical problem-solving fuel her interest in interventional radiology. Outside of medicine, she is a (washed up) hockey player who enjoys being active, spending time with friends and family, and backpacking/travel. She is excited to join the CAIR RFS!
Donna Mohseni Mofidi

Donna is a fourth year medical student at Western University. Previously, she completed her bachelors in Kinesiology and Health Science at York University (Specialized Honours). Donna’s passion for radiology and surgery have resulted in her keen interest in interventional radiology. She looks forward to being an active member of care and the Women in IR committee. She is excited to meet and learn from all the accomplished and distinguished women in the field. In her spare time she enjoys painting, comedy shows and traveling to new places.
Tiffany Ni
MS4 University of Toronto
Tiffany is an incoming fourth-year medical student from U of T. Previously, she completed her bachelors of medical science from Western University (Honours Specialization in Physiology). She then completed her Master’s of Science in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto. Her love of microscopy, in vivo imaging, and all things microscopy from her graduate school days have bled into medicine and turned into a big interest in interventional radiology. At home, she works hard to tend to her 50+ house plants and 1 spoiled cat.
Owen Partrick
MS2 University of British Columbia
Owen is a second year medical student at the University of British Columbia. Before medical school, he completed a BSc in Microbiology at UBC Okanagan. Although early in his medical training, he has developed a keen interest in radiology and specifically interventional radiology due to the diverse field of practice, the rapidly advancing cutting edge technology, and the ability to make significant impacts on patients’ lives. In his spare time he enjoys watching and playing a variety of sports, with hockey and golf being some of his favourites. He is very excited to work with the team and contribute to the field!
Tania Saha

Tania is a fourth-year medical student from U of T. She completed her Master of Public Health at the Western University, and her undergraduate degree at McMaster University. Her love of imaging, procedures and inspiring mentors continue to nourish her interest in interventional radiology. to In her spare time, she enjoys exploring exercise studios, road tripping to new places, and bringing her camera wherever she goes. She is excited to be part of CAIR’s committee.
Lakhdeep Singh Brar
MS4 Western University
Lakhdeep is a fourth year medical student at Western University. He is someone who initially thought of becoming a GIS Specialist but life had other plans for him when he applied to medicine and successfully matriculated. His love for working with his hands, being involved in direct patient care, pathophysiology and anatomy have all led him to his interest in the field of Interventional Radiology. In his spare time, he loves to capture the world around him with drone videography, play in various intramurals and relax with his friends and family. He is thankful for the opportunity to contribute to CAIR RFS!
Subash Subramanian
MS3 University of Alberta
Subash is a third year medical student at the University of Alberta. Previously, he completed a Chemical Engineering degree at the University of Calgary. He worked as a chemical engineer in the oil and gas industry in Alberta before making a transition to medicine. He loves the application of engineering principles to the world of medicine, and the range of innovative technologies within interventional radiology. He’s passionate about environmental sustainability, is an amateur tennis player and a half-decent chess player. He’s thrilled to learn more about the field of IR while working with others on the CAIR committee.
Victor Tran

Hi everyone! I am a 2023 McGill graduate that is currently completing a Master’s degree in Experimental Surgery in the field of interventional radiology. With support from great mentors, I have developed a strong interest in the field and I am excited to share this passion with others! In my spare time, you will find me exercising at the gym or traveling with my friends. I look forward to being a part of the CAIR RFS team.
William Wei
MS3 University of British Columbia
Will is a third-year medical student in the Vancouver-Fraser Medical Program at UBC. He completed his bachelor of science in physiology at UBC. He is a fan of medical imaging and organizes events for the UBC Ultrasound Club and Radiology Interest Group. Will enjoys playing tennis, performing in the UBC Med Jazz Band, and hiking the pacific northwest when he is not on call. He is thrilled to represent UBC at CAIR and looks forward to increasing interventional radiology exposure to medical students.
Michael Xie
MS2 University of Alberta
Michael is a second year medical student attending the University of Alberta. Prior to medical school, he finished a B. Sc. at the University of Toronto in Neuroscience and Computer Science. His interest in the intersection of technology and medicine led him to the field of radiology where the rapidly evolving state and increasing utilization of interventional techniques piqued a sharp interest in the field of interventional radiology. As hobbies, he enjoys a variety of sports (volleyball though is the current favorite to play), video games, and attempting to improve at cooking. He is looking forward to working with the team and helping increase awareness of IR across the board.
