Program description
Embolization Canadian Fellows Challenge, Case Review, will take place on Wednesday, May 12th at 8pm (EST). This virtual course will focus on two teams of Fellows discussing overall case presentations, including real-world applications in the management and approach to embolization, techniques, treatments and outcomes. Each team will present their cases to our expert panel of physician judges. Each case will be thoroughly reviewed and include a Q&A session for the audience.
Expert panel:
Dr. Jason Wong (Moderator) : A practicing Interventional Radiologist working as a partner of EFW Radiology. He is based at the tertiary care Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary and is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary. He has been on faculty since 2005. Dr. Wong is a current examiner at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and is focused on aortic interventions, oncologic treatments, venous disease, and cardiovascular imaging.
Dr. Adnan Hadziomerovic : An Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa and Head of Interventional Radiology section at The Ottawa Hospital since 2014. His practice is broad with interests in peripheral arterial disease, advanced endovascular aortic repair and dialysis. He has held presentations at numerous national and international meetings.
Dr. Marie-France Giroux : An Associate Professor at the University of Montreal. She created the IR fellowship program for which she was the director for over 10 years. She has also been involved in many aspects of the radiology residency program. Dr. Giroux has a very diverse IR practice; her primary interests are vascular malformations and women’s interventions, especially pelvic congestion syndrome.
