Originally from Vancouver, BC, Jorden enjoys spending his spare time outdoors playing sports such as golf. He hopes to eventually pursue fellowship training in interventional radiology!

VICE-CHAIR – Aida Ahrari

Aida is a 4th-year radiology resident at the University of Toronto. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Ottawa and MD-MSc at the University of Toronto. Over the past two years with the CAIR RFS, Aida has had the opportunity to collaborate with the team on various initiatives focused on mentorship and education. As she steps into the role of Vice Chair, she is eager to work with the RFS team of medical students, residents, and fellows across Canada to build on last year’s successes and develop new initiatives to support the organization’s mission. Outside of radiology, Aida enjoys staying active—whether it’s cycling, playing tennis, or exploring off-the-beaten-path hiking trails.

Education Committee

COMMITTEE LEAD – Yejun Hong

Yejun is a second year radiology resident at the University of Calgary. On his first day of a radiology elective, he ran into a full day of minor procedures and angio cases. Being involved in paracentesis or prostate artery embolization really made him fall in love with IR! Being involved in CAIR solidified his passion for the field and dream of performing interventions for patients as a career.

Outside medicine, I enjoy staying active by playing tennis, learning guitar, and sometimes driving out to hunt for auroras in Calgary.
