He then completed nearly a full general surgery residency at the Washington Hospital Center/Georgetown University before changing his field to IR. He served as a research fellow at the NIH under Dr. Brad Wood\, one of the leading IRs specializing in cancer. He then completed a Diagnostic Radiology residency at the U. of Pittsburgh Med Ctr (UPMC) where he had the privilege of doing research with one of the pioneers of IR\, Dr. Mark Wholey. Later he completed a fellowship in IR at the George Washington U. Medical Center under Dr. Anthony Venbrux\, one of the preeminent physicians practicing today & the former Chief of IR at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. \nAs one of the leading experts in the country on venous disease\, Dr. Sudi’s program at UPenn draws over 400 patients a year from around the globe for the treatment of venous thromboembolism. He has over a 90% success rate in treating patients affected by debilitating post thrombotic syndrome.
